Hoy les queremos compartir 10 preguntas y respuestas rápidas y fáciles para que puedan conversar sobre su trabajo, usando un poco el vocabulario que vimos ayer.

Model Answers 

Basic Questions

1. I'm a teacher / doctor / vet / engineer.    (a + occupation)
2. I work at a school / hospital / hospital for animals / factory.    (at a + place)
3. I work part-time - only 4 hours a day.      (only = sólo)
   I work full-time, from 9 to 5 every day.   (from... to.... = desde... hasta / de... a) 
4. I work in an office.     (in an office)  
   I work at home.          (at home)  -- cuando usamos home, siempre usamos at+home (sin "my" en el medio)  
5. I like my job, because I do what I love.  (because = porque)
   

Ojo al piojo! 

Because= porque (sólo en las respuestas!)

Why= por qué (para preguntas)

Pre Intermediate Questions

1. I usually work with children, and play songs and games. 
   
2. I work 30 hours a week, 6 hours a day. 
3. The most important thing about my job is I can teach the language I love to many people!
4. Yes, I have worked from home. It was okay, I like it.   (usamos present perfect, igual que en la pregunta) 
5. In the future, I would like to work at a university because I like working with adults.    (usamos would like to + infinitive, como en la pregunta)

Piensen... Qué tiempo usamos en la mayoría de estas respuestas? 
Tengan en cuenta ambos sets: el básico, y el preintermedio.

Si! El presente simple. 

El presente simple es el tiempo que usamos en inglés para hablar de algo rutinario, y ¿qué más rutinario que nuestro empleo? 
Entonces, casi siempre que hables sobre tu trabajo, vas a necesitar el presente simple. 

Debajo te adjunto una tablita con las reglas gramaticales para que las repases y las puedas aplicar! 

PRESENT SIMPLE RULES
Affirmative	Negative	Questions
HE, SHE, IT → add  -s/ -es	DON’T + infinitive DOESN’T + infinitive	DO + you, they… + infinitive DOES + he, she, it + infinitive
Examples: She works very hard at a hospital every day. My husband and I deliver Spanish lessons during the morning.	Examples: My sister doesn’t like working at schools.  John and Sienna don’t work part-time, they work full time.	Examples:  Does your brother work in a factory? No, he doesn’t / Yes, he does.  Do they like their current job? No, they don’t. / Yes, they do.

Important!

Fijarse que siempre que estén DO, DOES, DON'T o DOESN'T, vamos a necesitar luego un verbo infinitivo. Eso quiere decir, un verbo sin cambios. 

Entonces, una oración como la siguiente, no sería posible:

"My sister doesn't works in a coffee shop, she works in a hospital."

Correct sentence: 

"My sister doesn't work in a coffee shop, she works in a hospital."  --> no repetimos la -s en work porque ya está en doesn't!
